This Week In Our Kitchen: October 16th

This week my husband’s favorite dinner was the Beer Marinated Chicken Tacos, Corn and Black Bean Salad, Guacamole and homemade corn tortillas. He is also enjoyed the spaghetti and meat sauce. However, my favorite dinner was the Beef and Black Bean Chili and the StoneGable Sweet Buttermilk Cornbread. (I will post the recipe for the chili later this week.)

Here is what we will be eating at our house this week.

Sunday: Fend for yourself night. I went to the theater, so I figured I didn’t want to worry about it. There is plenty of food in the fridge and everyone except Little Miss can make something. Little Miss can just speak her mind and someone will feed her.

Monday: Grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and homemade creamy tomato soup

Tuesday: Parmesan Ranch Baked Chicken, Rice Pilaf and Brussels Sprouts

Wednesday: Shredded Beef Tacos ( I snagged this recipe from a commenter on This Week For Dinner.)

Thursday: Leftovers

Friday: Artichoke and Chicken Stuffed Shells

Saturday: Fish and Chips

As recipes are posted on Kitchen and Kids, I will link them up to my menu plans, so if something interests you check back and see if I’ve posted a recipe.

Feel free to leave your ideas, too. Happy Cooking!

We must be on the same wavelength! I have baked chicken, grilled cheese and tacos on my menu too. Anything to keep the kiddos happy!

    • That is the way I feel. However, I scrapped the grilled cheese and made meatball subs instead. The kids ate grilled cheese for lunch yesterday, so I thought I’d give them a break.

I’m visiting for the first time from Menu Mayhem … I would love to make a dish that calls for artichoke. I am saving your recipe! Have to run and browse your blog now!!

Well, this looks like a good menu. I like the fact that you went to the theatre without worring about the little miss. Sometimes I do the same with my kids and I try not to feel guilty about it. Actually I don´t because mothers are human beings as well. Aren´t we?? 🙂

    • I tried to make sure the Little Miss had a full tummy before I left and that her babysitter was fully competent about what to do, but as you say our nature as a mothers is to worry, plus she hates for either her daddy or I to leave without her. Thank you for stopping by.
