Today is a day of remembrance! I want to thank all of those who were part of helping America recover from 9/11, as well as offer up condolences to those lost.
Last week I did not get anything posted. I was in the process of making some changes to Kitchen and Kids. The significant changes you can’t see, but I did make some minor changes as well. If you had signed up to receive email updates previously, could you do so again? All of my subscriptions drifted off to cyberspace. You can also sign up via Google Friends Connect, now. I am trying to make things easier around here.
The most favored dinner around the house last week was baked ham, creamy mashed potatoes, creamed corn and fluffy yeast rolls. My husband was ecstatic to come home Sunday from church and have that waiting. I know many people make a large lunch on Sundays, but I have not made a tradition of that, so when I do make one my husband is so happy.
Starting Monday at midnight EST, Kitchen and Kids will be participating in an amazing blog hop hosted by Mompact.com. Over 12o bloggers will be reviewing mom invented products and hosting a giveaway for the product as well. I hope you will stop back by tomorrow to check out the product I am reviewing and giving away.
I also wanted to let you know my latest Real Life Matters article posted this last month at Destiny In Bloom, which is an on-line women’s magazine. I hope you take a moment to go out and read my article, as well as the other wonderful articles published there.
Here is what we will be eating at our house this week.
Sunday: Cilantro Pesto Chicken, Cilantro Lime Rice, and Grilled Corn with Chipotle Butter
Monday: Greek Chicken Salad Sandwiches with Tzaziki Sauce and oven fries. (This is a new recipe. Once I have tried it and tweaked it, I will post it.)
Tuesday: Honey Mustard Chicken, Homemade Mac and Cheese, and green beans
Wednesday: Sour cream chicken enchiladas, and corn and black bean salad
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: Roasted Pork Tenderloin, new potatoes, and sautéed yellow squash and zucchini.
Saturday: Chicken Fried Steak, creamy mashed potatoes, and some kind of veggie.
As recipes are posted on Kitchen and Kids, I will link them up to my menu plans, so if something interests you check back and see if I’ve posted a recipe.
Feel free to leave your ideas, too. Happy Cooking!
